Digital Submissions for Pre-Approvals – Optional

Artists may submit their artworks digitally for a pre-approval. If your artwork is pre-approved, it does mean that your artwork has been selected for the Winter Life Group Exhibition, however, the selection committee still has the prerogative to reject your artwork, should they find it unsuitable for any reason after seeing it up close.

Step 1. Read the Exhibition Rules.

Step 2. Prepare photographs of your artwork for submitting digitally. How to Photograph Artwork.

Please note that all digital submissions must be submitted by 5pm Monday 15 July.

Step 3. Complete a Submission Form for each artwork you are submitting.

Step 4. Make an EFT payment, (R120 per submission) to the gallery’s account and email Proof of Payment to admin@studioartgallery.co.za.

Step 5. Email your submission forms, biography, proof of payment and a copy of your ID to admin@studioartgallery.co.za.

Step 6. The selection committee will make their pre-approval selection on Wednesday 17 July and artists will be notified of the outcome via email on Friday 19 July.

Step 7. Courier your pre-approved artworks to St Peters Church on 5 or 6 August for the final selection.

Step 8. Invite friends and family to vote for your artworks and attend the opening event on 9 August at 3 pm.

Hand Delivered Submissions

Artist’s who have not submitted their artworks digitally for per-approval, must submit their artworks directly to St Peters Church on 5 or 6 August, between 9:00 am and 5 pm daily, no exceptions for late submissions will be made.

Step 3. Make an EFT payment, (R120 per submission) to the gallery’s account and email proof of payment to admin@studioartgallery.co.za or bring cash to St Peters Church when you submit your artworks.

Step 4. Print out your submission forms, biography, proof of payment and a copy of your ID and bring it with you to St Peters Church when you submit your artworks.

Step 5. The selection committee will make their final selection on Wednesday 7 August and artists will be notified of the outcome via email on Thursday 8 August.

Step 6. Invite friends and family to vote for your artworks and attend the opening event on 9 August at 3 pm.

Please note: The selection committee’s decision is final and will not engage in any correspondence regarding their selection. The selection committee members will only be made known at the opening event.
