Showcased annually at The Studio Art Gallery, this is the students’ exhibition of artworks produced by artists who have been mentored by Marc Alexander at the Alexander Art Academy art classes held in Simon’s Town and Claremont. This exhibition is a celebration of the students’ creativity and achievements, and an opportunity to reflect on what has been learned. Artworks cover a multitude of styles, techniques, and themes. Each artist focuses on their unique style, talent, and preference, to produce their best work.

Please join us at The Studio Art Gallery on Saturday 12 November at 5 pm, for the opening event of this year’s students’ exhibition.

There is no specific theme for this exhibition.

In an effort to better facilitate the curation of the exhibition, artists have been limited to canvas sizes: 51cm by 51cm (20inches by 20inches) square, or 51cm by 61cm (20inches by 24inches), or 51cm by 76cm (20inches by 30inches) landscape or portrait, wooden canvas, or at least a 12oz cotton duck canvas stretched on a combination stretcher (constructed with mortise-and-tenon corners, keyed with wooden expansion wedges).

All artworks will be for sale and the exhibition will run until 10 December.
