Eddy Chimhau, born in 1989 in Mutoko, Zimbabwe, hails from a family of accomplished artists. His passion for sculpting emerged early, transitioning from wood and clay to rough natural stone. At Chitungwiza art gallery, he honed his skills alongside established artists like Titan Mugawazi. Eddy favors dense stones like Serpentinite, particularly springstone, fruit serpentine, and leopard rock, for their fine grain and uniform structure. He appreciates their color range, from yellow to black, and their enduring nature. Eddy held his inaugural solo exhibition in 2009 at Harare Botanical Gardens. Since his move to Cape Town in 2010, he has gained recognition among emerging contemporary artists, supplying galleries and clients worldwide
