Kathryn Sutton

Cape Town native Kathryn Sutton has been painting since 2010, transitioning from a career in midwifery to embrace her artistic calling. Fearlessly venturing into new artistic realms, she initially worked in romantic realism with oils, but since 2020, has found her passion in exploring acrylics. This journey has led to the creation of large, intuitively layered works that border on abstraction, unfolding as a magical process. Guided by a deep fascination for the subconscious mind and hidden layers of meaning, Kathryn draws inspiration from poetry, lyrics, and inner promptings. Her art serves as a catalyst for exploration, healing, and self-discovery, allowing her to connect with her heart and express her truth in life’s strange and beautiful experience. Kathryn’s work has found homes through various galleries and exhibitions.
